What We Learned Through Everbee
We have learned so much from Everbee after just 30 minutes. Our content manager, Tripti G. Chandorkar, immediately made changes to Xiang Li Art’s Etsy store in terms of title, description, and tags. We noticed a significant improvement in searchability.
With that said, we have also learned the fact that Asian art, watercolor art, and artwear in general aren’t very popular searches on Etsy. Everbee gave us insights into our competitors’ analytics. Even with beautiful product photography, videos, many products similar to our categories would sit in the store on Etsy for months without many purchases, and sometimes zero sales even if they have been promoted by the seller or featured by Etsy.
Compared to European art and art products, Asian art shares a tiny fraction of the market on Etsy. This helped us expand beyond Etsy and began looking into sites such as Saatchi Art and other more art-centric platforms for artists.
