Brevo is not new to us. In fact, we have been thriving in Brevo for several years now after experiencing a few other email marketing tools for years. We don’t just use Brevo for Feisworld but all our projects under the umbrella of Feisworld, including our monumental art project at Xiang Li Art. It’s incredible how a single tool can seamlessly integrate with multiple projects and websites.

Previously we had written about Brevo and what we like about the tool. Today, we want to introduce you to the AI-powered features in Brevo (formerly Sendinblue). Optimize Subject Lines for Higher Open Rates

A compelling subject line is critical for driving open rates. Brevo’s AI can analyze past performance and engagement metrics to recommend subject lines that resonate with your audience. Instead of guessing, you have data-driven suggestions at your fingertips.

Personally I’ve always loved using Brevo’s subject line because I can see how it improves my open rate. Brevo AI suggested subject lines are often much more direct and inviting than what I have drafted. The “Use AI” button is right there and immediately accessible. Let’s take a look!

Predict the Best Send Times

Timing is everything in email marketing. Instead of blasting your entire list at the same time, rely on AI-powered send-time optimization. Brevo’s AI calculates the best moments for each subscriber, increasing the likelihood of opens and clicks.

Specifically the Brevo method involves analyzing four key metrics—open rate, click-through rate, percentage open volume, and percentage click volume—to determine the best time to send an email blast. While open rate and click-through rate show how a single email campaign performs, percentage open volume and percentage click volume reveal how engagement compares across multiple email sends over a specific period. By looking at all four metrics together, you can identify which days (or times of day) result in the highest email engagement overall.

Personalize Email Content Dynamically

AI allows you to deliver unique content to each segment of your list—even down to individual subscribers. This means you can tailor product recommendations, images, or copy based on subscriber interests, behaviors, and past interactions.

There are two ways to create dynamic email content using Brevo:

  1. You can personalize email templates with data from the event that triggered an automation, such as Order Confirmation and Abandoned Cart.
  2. You can also personalize email campaigns and email templates with data from your external resources or product feeds, such as a list of products or articles. (Important: currently the dynamic content block for data feeds is only available on an Enterprise plan.)

Writing compelling email content that strikes the right tone and captures attention can be challenging, especially if you’re juggling multiple tasks. Brevo’s AI writing assistant can help you craft subject lines, body content, and even calls-to-action.

If you don’t want Brevo to write the entire email for you, you can use the AI email generator to target changes for specific sections of your prewritten email:

  • Rephrase text for clarity and impact
  • Change your tone of voice (choose from 20+ options)
  • Shorten text for better readability
  • Translate your emails and more

AI Segmentation (Enterprise Edition)

Segmentation is the process of dividing your subscriber list into smaller groups based on specific criteria (e.g., past purchases, engagement levels, interests).

In December 2024, Brevo unveiled this brand-new AI Segmentation feature, and it’s worth experimenting for anyone looking to create more meaningful, effective email campaigns. In classic Brevo fashion, their AI Segmentation taps into advanced machine learning to analyze user behavior and automatically group your contacts into actionable segments. Think: identifying your most engaged fans versus the folks who need a little nudge—all at lightning speed.

Here’s the highlight reel:

  1. Automated Contact Grouping: Instead of wrestling with endless filters, you can rely on AI to sift through metrics like open rates, link clicks, and purchase history. It’s like having a brilliant virtual assistant who lives to make your marketing strategy shine.
  2. Personalized Campaigns: Once you’ve got these segments, you can tailor content to fit each group’s vibe and interests. This translates bigger open rates and more clicks.
  3. Enterprise Perks: Currently, AI segmentation is an Enterprise-only feature—so if you’re running robust campaigns or want to scale big, this tool can take the heavy lifting off your plate.
