How to Email a File From the WeChat App to an Email

Hey guys it’s Fei from Feisworld Media. In this video, I’m gonna quickly show you how to send a file from the WeChat app to yourself or someone else via email.

If you’re like us, working with a team of people primarily in WeChat, which is a Chinese messenger app (it’s much more than that), but anyway here’s the trouble when people send you documents. I’m talking about word docs, pdfs, or even images sometimes. 

If you’re like us, we’re like me, working with a team of people primarily in WeChat, which is a Chinese messenger app. It’s much more than that, but anyway, here’s the trouble: when people send you documents, I’m talking about Word docs, PDFs, or even images, sometimes you’re wondering how can I send that to myself via a text message or maybe via an email.

Now when you tap on a document, you’ll notice that from here, upper right-hand corner, there are three dots. Once you do that, you’re thinking to yourself, “What am I doing?” So, send to chat means that you’re going to send it to somebody else, including yourself, inside WeChat, which is not what we’re talking about. But in the fourth option here, if you’re using the English app, you see something called “open in other apps.” So tap on that. Now you have the option to send it to your friends via text message, including WhatsApp too. Now, to email it to yourself, you can see in the second row you have mail. Or I’m using something called Superhuman, where you might see your Gmail app, whatever it may be, right? Or where Google Drive, this is how you do it. So I’m going to demonstrate using Superhuman again. You can use your regular Gmail or your mail app. Once I tap on that, you’ll notice that it automatically attaches that Word document (I know it’s in Chinese, it doesn’t matter). Now you can send it to your contact. Here I’m going to just send it to Karen and say, “Here’s the doc. That’s it.”
