Luckily, even for someone like me with little to no experience with Discord, I found it fairly easy to get started. You can visit their #getting-started channel to understand the basic prompts.
So far I’ve experimented with “image to video”. All you need is the simple /anime prompt, upload an image, and with nothing else, you can hit “Enter” and queue up your request for the video to be generated. When I tested this at nearly midnight EST, the video took less than a minute to generate. No bad! This way, I didn’t have to wait for the web access to be available.

The /create prompt allows you to create a video with text. Here’s how you initiate a /create a prompt for Pika to generate a video on Discord.

/anime
The /anime prompt allows you to attach an image and generate a video (aka image to video)
With just the /anime prompt, it took some experimentation to see the type of images that might work well. With my mom’s watercolor painting, the results were OK, not great. Pika 1.0 might work better with more minimum and life images rather than paintings.
For the first time, I appreciated being in the Discord group and being able to see others’ results before and after mine.
