If you are a content creator, or creative entrepreneur, running a business like us, you’ll love these shows. In this article, we’ve collected what we think are the best podcasts on YouTube Music in 2023. These shows have been really helpful to us and so valuable over the years, that I wanted to take the chance to share the value of these shows in a proper post.

Best Podcasts on YouTube Music (For Content Creators): Our Top 7 Picks in 2023

We have been running a podcast for over 10 years. Back then, there were only a few outlets to listen to them (think Apple Podcast and maybe a few others). Today, the channels and apps seem endless. Yet, our famous platform YouTube didn’t join in until recently.

The most recent update from YouTube after releasing “the podcast tab” on their platform, is the brand new announcement that YouTube officially launched podcasts on YouTube Music, we are thrilled to start testing the experience out to review the whole platform integration, such as we did with Spotify and Anchor. If you haven’t seen our earlier post and walkthrough tutorial, check it out here.

Here are the best podcasts shows on YouTube Music, that will hopefully help your journey as a content creator to play the long game.

1. Think Media Podcast (Sean Cannel)

At Feisworld, we found Think Media when we were kickstarting our journey on YouTube, and their advice and way of presenting it was so relatable and helpful, that it inspired us to not be desperate and keep moving forward while being patient in building a YouTube business.

The Think Media Podcast, hosted by Sean Cannell, is a show focused on helping content creators and entrepreneurs grow their presence on social media and YouTube. The podcast covers topics such as video production, content strategy, YouTube optimization, and social media marketing. Sean Cannell, along with guest experts, shares tips, insights, and best practices to help creators build their online presence and achieve success in the digital world.

The Think Media Podcast is an extension of the Think Media brand, which also includes a popular YouTube channel and various educational resources. The podcast is available on multiple platforms, making it accessible to listeners who want to learn about leveraging social media, video content, and online marketing to grow their personal or business brand.

2. Feisworld Podcast (Fei Wu)

Yes! Our own podcast is available on the YouTube Music app! Created and hosted by yours truly, Fei Wu, a digital strategist, producer, and entrepreneur. Launched in 2014, the podcast features interviews with a diverse group of guests, including artists, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, authors, and other creative professionals. These conversations explore personal and professional stories, insights, and lessons learned from the guests’ unique experiences.

Fei Wu’s mission with the Feisworld Podcast is to help listeners learn from the guests’ journeys, get inspired, and find ways to build a better life and career. The podcast covers a wide array of topics, including personal growth, creativity, productivity, and business strategies.

Oh, and btw, we’ve also done a documentary inspired by our podcast, available on Amazon Prime, featuring some of our most popular guests over the past decade.

3. On Being Podcast (Krista Tippet)

I’ve been listening to On Being since 2005 and found Krista Tippett one of the most inspiring women of I’ve ever met. In fact, so much so that I had to interview her for our podcast, I was so nervous! BUT SHE SAID YES!

On Being Podcast (2023)

The On Being Podcast, hosted by Krista Tippett, is a Peabody Award-winning public radio show and podcast that delves into the big questions of human existence. It explores topics related to spirituality, ethics, philosophy, science, and the arts. The show features in-depth interviews with a diverse range of guests, including poets, theologians, artists, scientists, and other influential thinkers.

Krista Tippett’s thoughtful and probing conversations aim to uncover the underlying wisdom and common ground that can be found in different perspectives. The podcast seeks to inspire and challenge its listeners, encouraging reflection on the complexities of human life and promoting a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

Below is the playlist of the On Being podcast using YouTube’s own playlist. You can click on the “hamburger menu” in the upper right-hand corner and listen to every episode. The latest (as I’m writing this article) is with Vivek Murthy. This episode was first released as a “live listening” session with Kristipa in April 2023. The shared experiment with her listeners on Zoom Webinar was beyond my expectation as I found it rather satisfying and healing.

4. Akimbo Podcast (Seth Godin)

We’ve had a long-standing relationship with Seth. He not only is one of our greatest mentors of all time, but we have taken part in many workshops, courses, and interviews with him directly (e.g. altMBA, and we also got to interview him for our Feisworld Documentar). You can also experience the episode in its full audio edition here.

Akimbo Podcast (2023)

The Akimbo Podcast is a show created and hosted by Seth Godin, a renowned marketing expert, author, and speaker. Akimbo focuses on topics related to culture, entrepreneurship, marketing, and personal growth. The podcast’s name, “Akimbo,” is derived from an ancient word that means “bend,” symbolizing the idea of taking a different stance or perspective.

In each episode, Seth Godin shares stories, insights, and thought-provoking ideas to challenge conventional wisdom and inspire listeners to think differently about their work and lives. The podcast often explores how individuals can create change, make an impact, and approach problems or opportunities from a new angle.

What I really like about Akimbo is that in addition to Seth’s insights, the Akimbo Podcast also features a Q&A segment, where listeners can submit their questions and have them addressed on the show.

When is Akimbo coming onto the YouTube Music platform? I’m not sure. Neither Seth nor his podcast has been active on YouTube. I assume it’s because of the publicity he’s already getting from so many other creators on the platform. Nevertheless, I’d love to see the show launch on YouTube. For now, you can find it on Spotify Podcast and most other platforms where you find your podcast.

5. The Nir and Far Podcast (Nir Eyal)

Just like this Nir and Far website created by Nir Eyal, you will find a collection of interesting articles and interviews with people Nir finds fascinating, the show is about the intersection of psychology, technology, and business.

We have referenced Nir’s work for the past ten years. It was an incredible experience to be able to finally interview him on the show in 2023.

Nir is the author of Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products and Indistractable: How to Control Your Attention and Choose Your Life. Previously, he taught as a Lecturer in Marketing at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Design School, and he has sold two technology companies since 2003.

Nir has an active YouTube channel, and I’m going to encourage him to create a playlist for his video podcasts, so they can be searchable on YouTube Music like everyone else.

6. The Jordan Harbinger Show (Jordan Harbinger)

I first discovered Jordan on the podcast “The Art of Charm”. He was fantastic and agreed to be interviewed by us for the first time.

Since he left the show and started his own called The Jordan Harbinger Show, the podcast immediately took off and become one of the best podcasts in 2018 (ranked by Apple Podcast). I was able to interview him for the second time about rebuilding a brand-new podcast from the ground up. It was an unforeseen effort and mesmerizing to witness in every way.

The Jordan Harbinger Show is where self-motivated people, just like you, dig deep into the untapped wisdom of the world’s sharpest minds — from legendary creators to intelligence operatives, iconoclastic writers to visionary change-makers. We bring amazing stories and brilliant personalities to the table and help you demystify what they do and how they do it. You’ll learn new strategies, perspectives, and tactics you won’t find anywhere else, so you can bring these valuable insights into your own life and live what you listen.

7. The James Altucher Show (James Altucher)

James Altucher interviews the world’s leading peak performers in every area of life. But instead of giving you the typical success story, James digs deeper to find the “Choose Yourself” story—these are the moments we relate to… when someone rises up from a personal struggle to reinvent themselves. The James Altucher Show brings you into the lives of peak performers: billionaires, best-selling authors, rappers, astronauts, athletes, comedians, actors, and world champions in every field, all who forged their own paths, found financial freedom and harnessed the power to create more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Jame’s podcast was one of the first few podcasts I listened to when I first started in 2014. I’m a big fan of his books such as Choose Yourself, and the Choose Yourself Guide to Wealth. I’m grateful for his teaching during those years when I was struggling at my full-time jobs. I made the leap to be a freelancer feeling happy and confident because of his wisdom. I also had the pleasure to meet James in person in New York with his then-partner Claudia Azula.

Conclusion: Best Podcasts On YouTube Music For Content Creators

I think I’ve probably listened to over 500 shows in my whole creator journey. Every single one of them was valuable, but I must say that only a handful of them stuck with me in the long run, giving me solid and ground advice when I felt lost in the creatorpreneur race.

I wanted to make this collection to also take the chance to reflect on which shows and mentors have helped me the most, and be grateful for all the learnings.

As usual, feel free to reach out to me here or via Facebook if you have questions, suggestions or feedback. You can also leave a comment down below.
